The latest scoop - March 4, 2004Their Royal Majesties wish to giver Their thanks to Baroness Scheherazade Al-Zahira for all her hard work on the Toys for Tots program.
Toys for Tots reportThe total number of toys donated for the East this year is 923 . The list that follows are the people that donated either monies that bought toys or the toys themselves. There are gentles who went above and beyond in quiet way and I do no have their names, such as the ones who donated the beanie babies at 100 minutes war there were over 200 of those.

**There were also 228 beanies babies dropped of by someone at this event bring the total number of toys collected at this event to 354** Baron Lorcan and William and Shiela Iserman helped to transport the toys from this event to my home which was a great help. Bhakail- Baronial Yule Revel, December 8th
There were 87 toys collected at the event. This brings the total number of toys collected from this event to 340.
I look forward to next year. We are working on a scroll that can be passed from group to group so that whoever raises the most toys gets their Barony, Shire, Household, etc., on it. Last year it would have been Nordenhal last year Barony of Bhakail this year and who knows for next year. We are also on the list for an East Kingdom Sword that we can also use a challenge between groups. And lastly the totals for all the Kingdoms will be in the TI. Which is very cool. I have also had a conversation with His Highness Gaufred Kelson von Heidleberg and we are going to have a day at Pennsic to collect funds which will later on be turned into toys. So things are good.

Recent news - December 10, 2003A Toy for Tots update as of 100 Minutes WarThe East has collected 401 toys 316 from 100 minutes war ViVant!!!!!I would like to thank Rusted Woodlands for allowing me to have a toy drop. I would like to thank House Bloodguard for all of their help and the signs were great, all of the Fencers, a special thanks to Lord Santiago(Jade) de Montoya and Lady Emma Wen of Paincastle. As well as everyone else who donated toys and for the persons who donated the ty beanie babies ViVant!! And to all the gentles who helped to transport the toys thank you. In Service to the Dream

A Toy for Tots update as of Bhakail's YuleThe number of toys collected for the East Kingdom is now 754 toys as of the end of Bhakail's Yule.At Bhakails Yule there was an auction with the money raised being used for Toys for Tots. We raised $876.00 and collected another 82 toys Vivant. The Autocrat Lady Melodie then went out and bought the toys which then gave the total number of toys raised in the Barony of Bhakail for Yule to 337 toys. There were a lot of great people involved in the endeavor from the people who donated stuff to the auctioneers to the bidders Vivant to you all. And on a side note the auction was a lot of fun. Thank you to everyone involved with this!! The last day for collection is the 19th of December. In Service to the Dream
Scheherazade Al-Zahira Old news – October 15, 2003TRM East were victorious at the recent Kingdom Crusades in Atlantia.We thank Our Atlantian friends for such an enjoyable weekend and the Eastern team who autocratted the splendid event.News from the Barony of An DubhaigeainnA large rebellion was held in the Barony of An Dubhaigeainn whilst Their Majesties were at Kingdom Crusades in Atlantia. Lord Hassan the Turk, leader of House 3 Skulls, rallied his house and allies against the forces of the Barony, bringing in a large turnout (including from other kingdoms), while Their Majesties backs were turned. Thankfully, An Dubhaigeainn still stands, as victor, however, "The Turk" broke free of the guards and escaped with the help of his henchmen. Vengeance was sworn, and it is suspect that another such uprising may occur in the future.....
First Northern Shores Regional Rapier Champion and Arts and Science Champion ChosenThe first Nothern Shores Regional Rapier Champion is Lord Guthfrith Yrlingson. Lord Guthfrith fought in the schlager default division to advance to the semi-finals and finals where he faced none other than his lady wife - Lady Isobel Mowbray. Lord Guthfrith was victorious from a field of 19 fencers.The first Northern Shores Regional Arts and Science Champion is a young metal worker named Jason of Albion, a very talented 17 year old who also wishes to become an SCA fencer. These champions were chosen at the "Swash, Bucklers and Beaux Arts" event, in the Barony of Ruantallan.
Rumor has it that the fencers of Ealdormere have been raiding our Kingdom's northern borders.HRM Balfar will be in the Shire of L'ile du Dragon Dormant this weekend to verify these rumors...

Mind you, the answer may be “I have no idea.” or “I can’t tell you”, but isn’t nice to be heard? And maybe she’ll have a definitive answer and you can go shopping for a medallion or make sure all the right people are at the right event. Maybe you have some great news, information you think the ale wife should know, then tell her. She’s already to hear a good tale.
