Words of Thanks From Their Royal Majesties Andreas & Isabella, King & Queen of the East:

We would like to thank those many fine seamstresses and tailors who made Our Coronation a success. Although some scrolls were given at Court, unfortunately and alas, some were not completed. Here We wish to thank them publicly and shall have scrolls for each to show our gratitude for their unselfish service. If we have left anyone out, please let us know.

Message of Thanks From Her Royal Majesty Isabella:

Good Artists of the East!

I was ever so pleased when I received the many fine favors so beautifully crafted by the following gentles (and I am told there are more to come!). They were so wonderful and exceptional, I had the most difficult time parting with them to each of those worthy combatants who fought gallantly at Kingdom Crusades and Our travel to Dragon Dormant. Each and everyone bore the signature of each artist and most honorably and with great skill represented me well. Thank you all so much for giving of your talent and time. I am clear that each and every combatant will wear them for years to come. If I have left any name out, please let me know immediately that I may thank them also.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Isabella Queen of the East

November 2002:

Eastern people, as the seasons turn
from harvest bounty to the winter snow,
within your houses may the hearthfires burn,
the feasts be joyful, and the candles glow.
The old year lies in peaceful sleep, but see
the new year wake with glad Epiphany.

Yule and Season Greetings To Our Populace!

As we ready ourselves for the season of giving and completion all that was in the year before, We Andreas & Isabella, King and Queen of the East, wish health, prosperity and peace for you and yours. Let us celebrate this season by remembering with warmth those who are no longer present by our continued grace and gentleness that we have for each other. Though our country and world may have suffered the strife of violence and terrorism, we are grateful for this great kingdom where such opportunity to continue to demonstrate the possibility for many those most sought after virtues of chivalry, grace and honor. This is the greatest gift that we share with each other.

We invite all to come and be joyous with us Our gala 12th Night celebration, so graciously hosted by Our Shire of Hartshorn-dale. This glorious night of delights shall be the highlight of Our reign and We shall celebrate it vigorously with much festivity and revelry. This year’s German theme shall astonish the eye and refresh the soul. Come partake with us a most sumptuous occasion which promises a spectacular court, fine musicians and epicurean delights. Many surprises are planned for a gladsome evening as We make merry late into the night!

Thank you for your continued support of this Our second reign: to those whose hands have created fine garments and gifts, those whose artistry has graced our scrolls, those who have worked hard at all Royal Progresses and in times of War, and those who have contributed to the Royal Travel Fund, allowing us to visit Our kingdom and populace. Surely you are Our gift and for this We will ever be grateful! O Great Kingdom of the East, may blessings continue to shower thee and keep thee safe!

Andreas & Isabella
Rex and Regina

December 2002

This is the night when all the Kingdoms shine with festive raiment and with candles bright,
the night of feasts and revelry and wine, of gifts and songs and every known delight.
At Twelfth Night let all hearts be filled with cheer;
Come to our Court and welcome in the year.

Mistress Dorigen of the Grey Gate

Yule and Season Greetings To Our Populace!

Hark ye happy populace! Let us celebrate a year of prosperity and friendship! Andreas and Isabella, your servants upon the great throne of the East, send greetings and wishes to you and yours for great health and abundance for yet another year. Let there be a jubilee of wine and dancing. Come thespians, musicians, jugglers and strolling minstrels that We might be entertained by your noble prowess. Let us enjoy the gleeful sounds of children's laughter and the warmth of good friends as we ready ourselves for the gala event of 12th Night. This year's festivities shall be of German Renaissance beauty and Elizabethan decadence!

Our court will be early that festivities may continue through the day. Yet be advised that during Our Grand Ball, awards and gifts shall be given between sets. Come wear your finest raiment, for many will be there to marvel and shall take note of those individuals who best represent the day with gifts and prizes. Bring your finest potables that they might stand judged by our auspicious tasters. Their palates shall determine who rules the day! Special attention shall be given to those of most festive theme. Yes this and many other tidbits of good fun are planned for this great occasion and We welcome one and all to participate and join in the merriment with the Shire of Hartshorndale who have busied themselves these last few months to make a most delightful occasion.

The celebration continues with our Bardic Challenge, hosted by the Barony of An Dubhaigeainn this year, along with an Arts and Sciences Exposition, organized by the Crown Province of Ostgardr. Held during the month of love, this year's theme shall be: The Sword and the Rose. Come and share your favorite performance to vie for the coveted position as Kings or Queens Bard. Shakespeare would be envious indeed. For those of less emotive skill, bring your best works that all may marvel at your handiwork and artistry.

In the coming months, We welcome your participation as We travel to foreign wars. In that vein, as all know, that the financial weight and duty of the Royal family is heavy. Therefore, We further humbly request your support of the Royal Travel Fund, that We and Their Royal Highnesses, Darius and Roxane, might travel together so that the mightiness of the East is represented fully on those foreign grounds. Any donations to the travel fund for the purpose of our Heirs and Ourselves should be duly noted. We thank you in advance for your generosity and kindness from our hearts. We further thank those who we know would like to contribute but cannot, for surely divine providence knows your heart and intentions.

In service to this most Magnificent Dream,
We are Andreas & Isabella, Rex and Regina, Orientalis

Message of Thanks From Her Royal Majesty Isabella:

Joyous Greetings to our Great Societal Family!

On Saturday, January 25, the Board of Directors convened and, among their other business, it was determined by the BOD that HRM Andreas Eisefalke von Ulm, who was deployed two weeks ago, will be granted his titles of Duke at the end of Our reign.

I want to thank all who sent in letters to the BOD in support of Andreas. The many letters of well-wishers from near and very far, throughout the knowne world have moved me deeply. The love and caring that was present in your letters many times was too much to confront. It was lifting and comforting to know that here, in this great Societal family, no matter what differences we have, we come together for what is right and honorable. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you and embrace you. It is in times like this, times of such great difficulty, that such gestures of support and camaraderie make this game worth playing. As always is present in Our Great Society, our care for each other in what is important and right stretches beyond cultural lines, beyond creed, or any of the small differences that seem important to the mundane world. This is a truly a demonstration of the of what the dream is all about, the living of those virtues of chivalry and honor, on which this Society was first predicated, and which I am proud to be a part of.

Although this decision has brought great joy to my heart, the battle is not yet over for we all continue to pray that HRM Andreas' and all other of our members and family of members return safely to our familial arms. These defenders of our country are the true heroes.

With all that is within me, I thank you all.

Isabella of York
Queen of the East
